Osunaarashi withdraws due to thigh injury

Mar. 18 - M11 Osunaarashi has withdrawn from the Haru basho citing an injury that has been classified as a muscle contusion in his upper right thigh. The Egyptian said that he injured his leg during his bout with Endoh on day 8 as he took a hard fall at the edge of the dohyo, and then his condition worsened in his day 9 loss to Takekaze. Doctors estimate a full recover in about a week's time, but Osunaarashi indicated his desire to perhaps return later on in the week. This is Osunaarashi's second career kyujo (he last withdrew in his second basho in the Jonidan ranks), and Chiyootori picks up the day 10 freebie in his absence.
