Roho?  Hakurozan?  Or are they eliminated as neither is a "professional sumo wrestler" any more?

Chozo.

P.S. Is it silly season for news stories at the moment?  This one http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8550614.stm seems more likely to appear on April 1 as well.

I thought Roho is still in Japan? And that "news" says the "professional sumo wrestler" is from a neighboring country. Baruto? Kokkai? Tochinoshin? Doing some keiko with the cash machine and handcuffs?

The other article is not so silly as it sounds to you. There are several possibilities, how the Lemba could be related to a Jewish origin. Before Nabu-kudurri-ussur II of Babylon besieged and conquered Jerusalem in 586 BF, the Ark of Covenant was brought out of town. Some sources say it was carried to Egypt and for a while remained on the Nile-island Elephantine (Syene/Assuan), near the first cataract. From there it went south and the traces get lost. But there is a jewish community in Ethiopia, which claims to be founded at this time. And they also claim to have the Ark themselves, which is not unusual for relics - in medieval Europe more than 20 churches claimed to possess the "sanctum praeputium", the foreskin of the Christ (what a knob!). From Ethiopia, Jewish genome and culture could very well have oozed southward. The Lemba are a Bantu people, which means, their "origin" is far more northly than Zimbabwe, so relations to the Jewish community in Ethiopia are not only possible, but likely.
Another possibility would be Jewish merchants, which in late antiquity and Middle Ages travelled nearly everywhere. They were in China long before Marco Polo even crapped in his diapers and, of course, they travelled through Africa north of the equator. And before someone says Jews do not proselytize: They sometimes do. The Khazars, a Turkish people in South-Russia converted to the Mosaic belief in the late 8th century. The Russians themselves were close to becoming Mosaic in the late 10th century, but they eventually took the Orthodox Christianity, because king Vladimir liked the orthodoxian chants (no joke).

That second story has several grains of truth in it, as Henhito explained. Years ago, I taught a student from Ethiopia whose family claimed an extensive jewish background. They could trace their ancestors back at least 600 years and were incredibly well versed on ancient jewish customs.

The 2 ancient major conquests of what is now the Holy Land scattered jews everywhere in the world - including China. An uncle of mine went to China on business, and in one mainland town (I have no idea where) was surprised to see a synagogue - went on to discover a congregation of 40 jewish families who claimed they had been there since the 600's...

I also recently discovered that my paternal grandfather came from the same small town in eastern europe that Charlie Chaplin's family came from. The original names were identical (not the anglicised "Chaplin") and there is a very good possibility that Grandfathers grandfather were directly related to his Gr'gr'gr' Grandfather....

It's a small world.

I masturbate into a sock.  I founded a Synagogue to support Orthodox Jiz for this reason.  I can therefore trace my heritage into Judaism.  Am I Jewish?
Pleh

I have actually wondered about the Ethiopian connection to the Ark of the Covenanat, since one shrine claims to have it.  It would be a great worldwide find to identify that as a Historical Artifact, regardless of what you believe.  I just wonder why a Christian nation hasn't pressed the issue with them.  America would be the obvious choice, since national sovereignty is not a valid excuse to prevent the completion the archives of History....  Tongue

Jason, don't be silly. That couldn't be a synagogue you founded.
It would be the Holy Sepulchre of the Sacred Sock of Sewn Spilled Seeds.

By the way, the sock has to be female, or it doesn´t work...

Three questions. Any preferred fabric for the sock and how often do you wash said sock? Speaking of masturbation, that avatar of yours Jason, is she real or made in Japan? Kind of creepy.

I've been posting realdoll pictures in place of robots lately.  Just seemed more fun.  I'm about to change it, though, just to break the theme.  I'll let it sit for a while longer.

Anybody know of a laundry detergent that is tough on protein stains?

I never bother with that stuff... I just use scissors.
