Clancy, the only reason I didn't reply straight away was that this one is such an old chestnut, that I assumed everyone would know it.
The only main difference from when I was a lad, that the riddle read roasted nuts instead of mashed potatoes.
The answer being, "Well, you can roast yer nuts as long as you like, but ye'll never be able to pee soup"

So there

This is true, but even at a dimly lit Fish House, you can still sea food.

Things are so easily taken out of context these days... If anyone cares, I've had my share of young ladies too.

Young ladyBOYS, more like!

The lass he brought home was a prize,
with an alluring set of blue eyes,
her breasts, so well kept,
were what he’d expect,
but her penis was quite a surprise.

I'm sure you've all heard of the the Jamaican Bobsled Team which inspired the motion picture, Cool Runnings.  Well now comes the Jamaican Dogsled Team!  I just hope he doesn't freeze his royal Rastafarian nay-nays off!

Nothing new under the sun.  Self loathing.  Fear of being found out.  Think Roy Cohn.

Not even nothing new.  This is essentially standard practice.

That's why I find it so amusing that the latter-day saints of our business...

2) accuse me of corrupting morality, which ...  I wish I had the power to do.

Yep.  I actually met this guy about a dozen years ago at the fair.  It's interesting that his drunk driving charge has now been swept under the rug, and the 'another gay Republican' thing gets bandied about.  Really funny.  He's actually catching hell around here for voting against every gay rights bill that's come along over the years, but the fact is that he is correctly representing his constituency (my county is more hick than many southern states!).  I actually respect him for that, if it's not just his self loathing stance, it's too often that people get voted in that have their own agendas and ignore their district.  In any case, this county will vote him out ASAP, after giving him landslide victories every season!
