Seconded. Not knowing by heart the records of all 41 Makuuchi rikishi is a failure of such epic proportions that words fail to describe the feeling of utter disgust that I have while reading Mike's report.

  That's funny!

A mistake of colossal magnificence malevolence size. Verily a poke in the eye and a dagger to the heart of all hot and feverish fans of ST worldwide! Never again will I be able to gaze upon the countenance of the Home Page with the same reperance revellance way.

I haven't felt this betrayed since Clancy snuck that last bottle of Smirnoff out of my fridge. And replaced it with Heinz' Ketchup, thinking I wouldn't notice. I did, you know... ok, took a while - was wondering why my screwdrivers were all turning out red and goopy. Mind you, the Bloody Marys were a real treat. Tasted like... oh, never mind.

I wonder what's on TV...

Jeepers, Jakeeper,

I think its my fault, as the first sentence in my coverage of the Tama/Saga bout on Day 1 implied that Peter won the bout.  Mike reads my reports and the erroneous impression from that poorly worded sentence may have stuck with him.  My malfeasance.

Nonetheless, you are perhaps acquainted with the phrase "missing the forest for the trees"?  Mike is a forest, a big, dark, sprawling, unsullied, old growth of sumo insight.  Some piddly rookies second-day-in-the-division-record is a knob on a bud on a flower on a sapling being sold by the side of a freeway exit ramp near a Walmart that is going out of business.

Martin is a woods, Mario is an orange grove, Andreas is a bamboo thicket, Kenji is a lone bristlecone pine, a la The Joshua Tree, and Mark?  Why, Mark is a canyon.   On Mars.  Six millions years ago.

YBF: Excellent report.

Yeah, the stuff on sumo was good, but I was totally enthralled, enchanted and enlightened by your dentist story. A good plot that involves keen, incisor wit and dentyne vision just left me with my mouth open. No molar, no less. I am in-dentured with any tale I can get my teeth into.

Good writers just gum and go. YBF has proven again that he's head and fangs above the other teethers.

P.S., seriously, good stuff.

AHAHAHAHAHA! And ROFL, even. What are you, BTW?

And thanks Lex! Appreciated!

Ross, my man, I don't know if you make it to the forum, too. I'm sure about the daily reports, though. All your direct references to phrases and notions given here are recognized and appreciated. I surely take this as a compliment.

Thankyou Clancy for mentioning David Shapiro's efforts and describing them so well. Arrogant pr*ck. I can only hope that Asa hears of what was said about him on air and all the stars line up, in an alley somewhere.

Seconded.  That fukc is the reason I have listened only to the Japanese broadcast for the last few years.  It's a shame I miss out on the lovely Hiro, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make.

**Edit: Sorry, I meant the lovely ROSS!!

Heres to hoping.  What a classless jerk to say those things publicly on tv.  I hope Ross kicks his ass for us.
